Bryan Long (HONORARY MENTOR)

Bryan Long is the founder of Unaverage, the Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Singapore University of Social Sciences and a Fellow at the Singapore Centre for Social Enterprise (raiSE).

Bryan has mentored more than 300 hundreds startups and taught Lean Startup to employees and students across ASEAN, Bangladesh and India.

Russ Neu (Honorary Mentor)

Russ Neu is the Founder and CEO of Social Collider, an aggregator of resources for social enterprises and impact organisations.

Beside being appointed as the Sociopreneur-in-Residence at Singapore University of Social Sciences, Russ was also appointed as Visiting Professor under the Innovation for Impact Partnership, an initiative under UNDP.

Jennifer Lim (Volunteer Development Coach)

Jennifer's mission is to live by example in her life to inspire and transform dreams that matter into reality.


With a Professional Certified Coach with International Coaching Federation, she wants to use her coaching and training skills to add more value to social enterprise. She believes that when social enterprise fulfills their mission, they will in return, make a more significant impact for their chosen beneficiary.

Valen Tan Husistein (Chief empowerment officer)

Inspired by her 3 children, Valen decided to pursue a career in the Social Service Sector. In 2015, she left the private sector and took up a Fundraising role in the Social Service Sector and organised events such as live telecast TV Charity Show, Flag Days, Charity Swim & more.

In 2017, to develop a stronger theoretical foundation of the sector, she decided to pursue a degree in Social Work at Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) and graduated in 2021. With the support of SUSS, she started Social Gifting to provide meaningful activities / passive income to people who are unable to leave home due to caregiving duties or physical constraints.

Come join her mission to empower the less fortunate to build on their strengths and enable them to live an enriching life with dignity.

Duygu Sahin (Chief Marketing Officer)

Duygu is originally from Turkey, studied Chemical Engineering as a bachelor degree and pursued her MBA from Seoul National University. Before beginning her current position at Social Gifting she worked for one of the international advertising companies in Dubai. After 7 years of expat life in Dubai she moved to Singapore with her son and husband.

Duygu was always eager to contribute to a positive change whether in a personal or professional level, that’s why she is very grateful for having the opportunity to use her expertise to support the mission of Social Gifting.

Athena Ho (Finance Manager)

With a degree in Accounting and Finance, Athena spent 17 years in the corporate world in Finance.

Now blessed with 2 daughters, she is grateful to be given this opportunity to give back to society through her work at Social Gifting, where the differently-abled can be recognised and empowered through their craftwork, thereby allowing them to lead meaningful, enriching and fulfilling lives.

CATHERINE YEO (SALES & LOGISTICS LEAD)

Catherine decided to take bold steps to return to the workforce after providing a few years of caregiving duties to her family.

She hopes to join Social Gifting to provide meaningful work to the underprivileged and help them find meaning in life.

She is the go-to person when we need back-end support and helps to ensure all orders are delivered smoothly.

Gabrielle Chua (Logistics & Craft Trainer)

As an aspiring social worker, Gabrielle is always ready and eager to reach out to those who need help. With her knowledge and experience, she hopes to be able to make a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable groups in society.

CLARISSA FOONG (Marketing & Logistics Assistant)

Clarissa holds a bachelor's degree in business (marketing) from RMIT SIM and brings valuable experience from her previous role at Republic Poly, where she specialised in integrated events.

Clarissa is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of those in disadvantaged communities.

Anna Tay Kang Qi (Marketing & Logistics Assistant)

Anna is currently pursuing a degree in Real Estate at NUS while holding a diploma in Media and Communications from Singapore Polytechnic.

Alongside her academic endeavours, Anna has always had a deep passion for community service. She believes that helping others benefits them and provides an opportunity for personal growth and self-discovery. Through her involvement at Social Gifting, Anna aspires to make a positive impact on those in need while balancing her responsibilities as a student.

Amelia Ang (Marketing & Logistics assistant)

Amelia is a passionate undergraduate student who is pursuing a degree in biological science, driven by her aspiration for a career in research.

With a longstanding commitment to volunteering at animal shelters since her early years, Amelia has actively been involved in nurturing a profound sense of compassion and empathy towards those in need. This experience has inspired her to broaden her horizons and extend her efforts towards serving underserved communities.

Lucas Koh (Business Development Assistant)

Lucas is a driven individual making a difference as a Business Development Assistant at Social Gifting. Currently pursuing his undergraduate degree in Marketing at SUSS, Lucas combines his academic knowledge with a strong desire to create positive change in society.

Lucas employs strategic planning and innovation to proactively seek partnerships with businesses that share Social Gifting's mission of making a positive impact. Through his work at Social Gifting, he has discovered the profound joy and fulfilment that comes from dedicating his efforts to those in need.

Tang Wen Xi (Design Intern)

Wen Xi, an experienced artist and design student at Temasek Polytechnic, possesses exceptional skills in 3D modeling, graphic design, and rendering.

His extensive knowledge of literature, history, and animation fuels his eagerness to collaborate with diverse crafters. Wen Xi's unwavering dedication to learning various crafts aligns perfectly with his heartfelt commitment to serving individuals with different abilities through his talents and nurturing attitude.

With prior knowledge of Social Enterprise from her polytechnic education, Ping Swen grew interest for Social Gifting during her community engagement as she witnessed how elderly were empowered through the crafting program.

Ping has contributed to Social Gifting by developing B2B segment and through that, she has successfully brought in our biggest sales of 9,000 felt pouches.

We would like to thank her for her contributions to Social Gifting and for guiding the SUSS Social Gifters to continue doing good for the community.
