At Social Gifting, we support a vibrant community of senior crafters who are passionate about staying engaged and connected. Through meaningful crafting activities, they combat social isolation and promote active aging — nurturing their well-being and sense of purpose.
LB (Ghim Moh) is committed to helping seniors age actively and meaningfully in the comfort of their own homes. Through 10 Active Ageing Centres, two Community Case Management Services regions, Home Personal Care (HPC), and befriending programmes, LB reaches out to more than 13,000 seniors, keeping them connected, healthy, and engaged in their communities.
Social Gifting is proud to partner with Lions Befrienders at Ghim Moh, offering free crafting sessions that bring joy, creativity, and connection to the seniors. Beyond that, we work to raise funds that empower LB to organise even more free and meaningful activities—helping seniors stay mentally stimulated, socially active, and truly engaged in life.
Nenek Imah lives alone in a one-room rental flat in Lavender. With a passion and talent for sewing, she creates beautiful tote bags and pouches from upcycled fabrics, giving new life to discarded materials. Her skills also include crafting bags from a variety of materials and other fabric-based accessories. Through her work, she hopes to stay active, remain meaningfully engaged, and continue ageing with dignity in her community for as long as possible.
Let’s empower Nenek Imah to overcome loneliness, strengthen her well-being, and sustain her passion for crafting.
These gifts have been crafted by seniors and volunteers at the Caregiving Welfare Association (CWA)
CWA was established with the mission to improve the quality of life of elderly and to inculcate a generation of responsible and knowledgeable caregivers in an ageing population.
Your support will empower the seniors and caregivers to keep them socially engaged and maintain their self-independence
